WHO WE ARE The APA Idaho Chapter
The Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA ID) is a non-profit organization comprising professionals and citizen planners dedicated to guiding the future development of Idaho communities. As the state affiliate of the American Planning Association, we boast over 230 APA members statewide, representing diverse expertise and interests both locally and nationally. Our members span the public and private sectors, working for Federal, state, and local governments, as well as firms of various sizes. They contribute to long-range planning, development review, master planning, site planning, transportation planning, land use planning, environmental planning, design, and numerous other roles.

2026 Call for Volunteers Interested in getting involved? We are looking for 2026 Committee Volunteers!
Legislative Committee: Help monitor and influence planning-related legislation and advocate for interests of planners across the state.
Conference Committee: Help shape our 2026 Conference in Dillon. MT (Early October). Assist with session planning, mobile tours, and more. Local and regional volunteers are encouraged, but all are welcome!
Awards Committee: Help develop the call for projects, review submissions, and present awards at the 2026 conference.
